Few words about our audio tracks- an MP3 format, encoding, DRM, ID3 tags, sound
We use a MP3 format for our Bratislava Audio tour.
MP3 is a most popular
music format and it can be played on any computer, PDA and some mobile
phones. Naturally, you can also play our tour on standalone MP3 devices
such as iPod and iPhone from Apple, Zune or any other MP3 player.
Our MP3 files are DRM-free.
Digital rights management
(DRM) are technologies which provide an access control for digital media.
In other words, if you want to play the music file, you need to
download also the license. Otherwise, it will prevent you to access, copy or
convert the purchased MP3 or the other music file. We strongly believe that
when you buy our MP3, you should be able to use it without any
restrictions. Therefore no DRM protection is applied on our MP3 files.
On the other hand, if you want to support this project and help to keep
it running, please use our store for MP3 purchase. We do not make this
activity for living but we need to charge some minor fee to cover
the necessary operational cost and to support future updates. Any donations
and sponsorships of the project or the particular tracks are welcomed, you
can use our contact form for more details.
MP3s are encoded in 128kbps bit rate
This should guarantee a decent
sound quality for the speech while keeping a MP3 file relatively small.
Tracks include ID3 tags defining the name, genre (Speech) and the name of album.
MP3 are deliberately created in monophonic (mono) sound. You should hear a same sound stream from your left and right headphone so you can share your
headphones with your friend or partner when you walk around the Bratislava points of interest.
If you want to listen how it sounds, visit our store where you can also download one free MP3- Introduction .
